Upper Control Arm Uniball Joint

Here’s a typical uniball application where one is used in an aftermarket upper control arm. Uniballs can require some maintenance. It’s a good idea to periodically hose down the joints to help keep dirt and debris from working into the liner. Uniballs are generally tighter and a bit noisier than an OEM ball joint, and they should be inspected periodically for wear. They will need to be replaced as they wear and develop play. However, the uniball can be replaced and the control arm reused. A snap ring is used to retain the uniball in the cup.
