Cutting metal can be dif-ficult without the right tools- even with the proper equipment, achieving an angled or curved cut can be awkward and time consuming. If you have never used a plasma cutter they are a great way to cut metal and easy to use. Plasma cutters work with simple technology that uses an electrical arc and compressed air to cut; they are slightly on the expensive side of tools, but well worth it when you factor in the time saved on projects.

Hobart's new AirForce 250ci is a plug-and-use plasma cutter, and it features an internal compressor so it's not necessary to hook up to an external air source. The 250ci also runs off a household current of 120V, 20-amp circuit, making it a great little shop or garage tool. The plasma cutter weighs only 27 pounds and can be run on a generator, making it extremely portable and a must-carry tool you can leave in the trailer at the trail head.
