How many times have you gotten off the trail after a long day of four-wheeling only to dread having to air back up again? The problem with most onboard air setups is how long they take to fill the tank or tires.
Air-Zenith, a leader in air-ride technology in the custom and lowered truck scene, has decided to market a kit designed for the off-road crowd. The Air-Zenith OB2 Off-Road Kit features the company’s latest compressor, the OB2, a digital pressure gauge with a sending unit, a 5-gallon aluminum air tank with a pressure switch, and a length of 1⁄2-inch braided stainless steel air hose to connect the compressor and the tank.
The key to the kit’s performance is the compressor. It features a 0.75hp motor, is rated at 200 psi, and has a 100 percent duty cycle. Flowing 4.25 cfm through a massive 1⁄2-inch air line, a single OB2 compressor will fill your 5-gallon tank to 200 psi in only five minutes and fill from 165 to 200 psi in only 80 seconds. At 200 psi you’ll be able to air your massive mudders back up faster than any of your friends. Careful, though. Soon they will be begging to borrow your air!
