Double Ended Ram Installed

A double-ended ram should be mounted side to side as close to the center of the axle as possible so the tie rods that run from the ram ends to the steering knuckles at either end are equal length. This isn’t always possible because the ram may hit the diff cover, but the closer to equal length the tie rods are the more even the steering will feel. Heim joints on the ends of the tie rods should all be mounted horizontally.
