Dodge full-size 4x4s can be a great source for Jeep swapping. The '80-'93 trucks used either an NP208 or NP241 T-case with the same passenger-side drop and 6-bolt, 23-spline input shaft as many Jeep vehicles. This 4x4 W250 sports an eight-lug Dana 44 front axle. Dodge used different housing widths since the 1/2- and 3/4-ton knuckle/spindle spacing was different. The 1/2-ton housing is wider ball joint to ball joint. If you convert to 5-lug Dodge knuckles and outers, you can shorten the driver-side axletube to create a roughly-60-inch WMS-WMS axle that doesn't require the springs to be outboarded on an early CJ.
