Anti Spatter Spray

Before you begin, spray some anti-spatter spray (available at your local welding supply shop) on the contact tip and gas nozzle. This will help prevent splatter from sticking to and shortening the life of your tips and will keep your gas nozzle free of buildup that could block gas flow. Run out a fresh length of wire and cut it off so you’re not trying to start an arc with wire coated with anti-spatter. Also, make sure your weld material is clean and free of oil, dirt, and rust.
