The run to go wheeling involved hitting the local quickie mart for fuel and snacks…and then the parts store for a bottle of radiator stop-leak. It turns out that even though we fixed the radiator mounting brackets there was a small leak near the radiator cap that we somehow overlooked. So we need a new radiator—add that to the list. Also, the first real street driving in our new-to-us YJ provided ample evidence that the synchros of the Peugeot BA10/5 were long gone. It grinds between upshifts, and downshifts are impossible without doing the double-clutch dance. We lost that gamble for sure.
