Once you have the tire off the ground, blow any sand, dirt, sticks, or mud off of the bead. Drizzle water on the bead to help it seat on the wheel. In addition to the lubrication, it helps seal the tire as the bead seats. Try not to get dirt, sand, or water in the tire or eventually you’ll have to get it back out. Once clean, use your on-board air or Power Tank to fill the tire. Pushing or pulling in the proper place can help get the bead bundle of the tire sealed on the safety bead of the rim. A Powertank is gonna deliver way more air to first seal the bead bundle against the wheel’s safety bead.
