The old steering box was a three-bolt unit featuring a shade over two turns lock-to-lock. That can result in twitchy steering on the highway in a short-wheelbase Jeep. We got a new variable ratio four-bolt box from Borgeson that takes over three turns to go lock-to-lock. So the closer to center we are on the box, the more precise control we have. Conversely, the closer to lock we are, the faster the tires move. This is good for wheeling and highway driving. Note that we have only one bolt tacked in at this point for clearance testing.
