Welded Rocker In Place

When you measure for the rocker legs make sure the rockers protrude a few inches outside of the body to help protect the doors when the vehicle slides over obstacles. With the rockers located and supported with jackstands you can weld the 1 3/4-inch, 0.120-wall legs to the frame. Be sure to check for fuel lines and wires on the backside of the framerails before welding. Two legs per side are fine in most cases but if you plan to use the rockers roughly consider three to four fully welded legs per side.
