We finally have a winner in the caption contest, but first some honorable mentions. It seems that some of our readers thought we were looking for an actual legit caption, when in fact we wanted something funny, so those writing in about tube thickness and triangulation construction need to relax and get back to the fun side. Other common themes involved running over either a poodle, a cat or some import car or something about beans and needing new shorts, but we finally whittled it down to the following:
Second Runner Up:
"Backward trucker hat ... check.
Zip-up hoody with clever embroidered nickname ... check.
Tube doors ... check.
Watch out ladies, triple threat on the loose."
by Gordon Wagner
And the winner (because it's so true):
"It takes a high degree of concentration to line up your truck so it drips in the same spot."
by Eric Iacovissi
Thanks for playing and we'll find another photo in need of a caption shortly.
We were recently asked by a good friend what exactly Feature editor Fred Williams was doing in this picture from our July 2005 Issue. He looks like he's 4-wheeling, but he's actually just sitting in his driveway.
