The line pull is the one critical rating that you must factor into winch selection. While a pull like this might only put a 2,000-3,000-pound load on the winch, you have to be prepared to pull the whole weight of the vehicle at some point in your four-wheeling adventures. Choosing a winch with a line pull 1½ times the actual weight of your vehicle is ideal to make sure you always have enough pulling power without overworking the winch.
