Not Really Electrical, But…
If you are installing a stereo, many early-’90s-to-present Jeeps have a support that attaches to the back of the head unit or radio that often makes them very difficult to install. For years we just threw the supports away. But one day we were complaining about how crappy aftermarket radio adapters are after breaking another one, and we got to thinking. That annoying piece of metal on the back of the radio is really needed if you actually wheel your Jeep. Either keep it in there, or if your Jeep already has lost it, the next time you have the radio out you should put one back in. That rear support will help avoid your stereo coming out of the dash while you are wheeling.
