What most people think of when considering an engine swap are the motor mounts and bellhousing adapter. The motor mounts for an LS actually use an adapter plate like this from Hooker. These allow you to bolt a traditional small-block Chevy motor mount to the sides of the LS engine. Each company’s adapter plates positions the engine in a slightly different location front-to-rear in the vehicle. Hooker offers several versions, each with a different location.
