Oil Pan Options

If you don’t start with a truck engine, then you’ll need to change the oil pan to drop an LS into popular 4x4s. The oil pan in the center is for a Camaro or Firebird and has an extended sump area that would interfere with the front axle in most 4x4s. The pan on the left is an LS swap pan from Holley and the one the right is a GMPP muscle car pan; both would fit most 4x4 chassis. You must change the oil-pump pickup tube to match your new oil pan, and you may need to clearance the windage tray to attach the new pickup tube.
