Cutting An Oil Filter Apart

Friends Jim and Brian Sumner were nice enough to chuck the various filters up on their lathe in order to free the contents from the filter canister. A Dremel, bandsaw, reciprocating saw, or hacksaw would work just as well. Kluhsman Racing Components even makes tools specifically designed to cut apart filters for race teams (part number KRC-1201).
