8:45 a.m.: If you have a factory gas tank, you can reuse the original fuel pickup tube as long as it is at least 5⁄16-inch for up to 525 horsepower or 3⁄8-inch for up to 620 horsepower. If you decide to run a return line, you’ll need to drill a hole as close to the top of the fuel tank as possible and install a bulkhead fitting. In this tank, we were able to reach a wrench inside the tank to tighten the bulkhead fitting. Most fuel cells have AN fittings for both the supply line and the return line.
