[Pintle] This is the idle air control sensor found on Jeep 4.0L engines. This part consists of a stepper motor that opens and closes to allow a small amount of airflow to the engine at low rpm. The pintle and seat of this unit tends to get gummed up, which can inhibit airflow and cause a rough idle. Use a solvent to clean the path in which air travels through the part.
