Once everything is buttoned up, it’s a good idea to modify the oil fill plug in the side of the compressor with a grease fitting. This allows you to service the compressor and add grease periodically without all the nastiness of tearing it back apart. We simply drilled and tapped the fill plug to accept a normal zerk. Some lowrider guys claim a need to vent the case to allow the grease to expand when the compressor gets really hot, but we haven’t found a need yet.
