The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor continues to be a huge hit with the Dirt Sports Nation and enthusiasts around the world. As the most capable and fastest off-road production truck ever built by Detroit, the Raptor is awesome to drive both on and off-road. The already impressive package put together by Ford Racing’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT) can be further enhanced to unleash the Raptor’s true potential. With a few simple modifications, the Raptor can gain even more wheel travel, horsepower and performance. To help take your Ford Raptor to the next level, Dirt Sports has put together a collection of some of the latest parts and accessories with enough performance to get your Ford F-150 SVT Raptor flying.
ROUSH PERFORMANCE 6.2L PHASE 2 SUPERCHARGER KIT The ROUSH Performance 6.2L F-150 Phase 2 Supercharger Kit pumps out an amazing 590 horsepower and 590 lb-ft or torque, an increase of 179 hp and 156 lb-ft over the base Raptor. The Phase 2 kit is designed and manufactured in house at ROUSH and utilizes Eaton’s TVS (Twin Vortices Series) rotating assembly. A Roots-type, positive displacement supercharger, it features twin four-lobe rotors that are twisted 160-degrees to enhance thermal efficiency, deliver higher volumetric capacity, enable higher operating speeds and create a smoother, more efficient flow of air into the engine. The system comes complete with 2.3L TVS R2300 supercharger, high efficiency air-to-water intercooler system, custom intake manifolds, dual 60mm throttle bodies, high-flow cold-air induction, unique high-flow fuel rail and injectors, all required hardware and wiring harnesses, as well as ROUSH’s custom PCM calibration flash.

SCT LIVEWIRE TS PERFORMANCE PROGRAMMER The new Livewire TS from SCT unlocks the Raptor’s hidden performance by recalibrating the vehicle’s computer for maximum horsepower and torque, along with increased throttle response, firmer shifts and better fuel mileage. The pre-loaded tune files optimize the vehicle’s air/fuel ratio, timing and fuel curves for maximum performance while maintaining OEM reliability and drivability. When not bombing around the desert or trails, SCT’s tune files can help optimize the Raptor for hauling, towing or even increase fuel mileage 1-2 mpg. The Livewire TS features high-speed data logging and data monitoring capability with user selectable graphics and layouts, along with a built-in rear view camera input, and it can even read/clear DTC trouble codes.

FOX FACTORY SERIES 3.0 BYPASS SHOCK UPGRADES Fox unleashes all of the Ford Raptor’s off-road capabilities with its direct-replacement 3.0 bypass shock upgrade kits. Utilizing all of the same components from Fox’s off-road Trophy-Truck race-winning shocks with Eibach springs, Teflon-lined spherical bearings, proprietary racing oil and Viton seals. Up front the large Factory Series 3.0 internal bypass coilover shocks maximize wheel travel, increase oil capacity and adds 60 percent more damping area over the stock Fox Raptor shocks. They are also equipped with remote reservoirs with a large -10 hose increasing the shocks’ cooling capabilities. In the rear, Fox uses huge Factory Series 3.0 bypass shocks with three independently owner-tunable bypass zones for complete ride control regardless of terrain conditions, paired with 2.5-inch diameter piggyback reservoirs.

FABTECH UNIBALL UPPER CONTROL ARMS The SVT Raptor is an amazing truck, but the factory upper control arms limit wheel travel because they use ball joints. To prevent suspension binding associated with the OE upper control arms, Fabtech has designed replacement upper control arms that eliminate the upper ball joints and improve suspension travel. Fabtech’s Raptor arms use 1.50-inch FK alloy uniballs and are made from 1.50-inch diameter 4130 chromoly tubing featuring gusseted uniball cups for maximum strength. A 4340 heat-treated uniball pin fits into the factory ball joint taper without modification to the spindle, and additional caster is built into the arms for greater alignment and improved geometry. The Fabtech upper control arms are designed to work with the factory SVT Fox Shox or aftermarket coilovers.

HM RACING DESIGN LONG-TRAVEL SYSTEM HM Racing Design’s new Ford F-150 Raptor long-travel kit creates up to 18.5 inches of wheel travel. A set of new upper arms, lower arms with sunk-in shock mounts and a custom uprights were designed using factory mounting points. To ensure reliability, 1.5-inch lower and 1-inch upper uniballs are used. Also included are HM Racing Design aluminum tie rods, steering clevis bolts and all upper A-arm mounts and hardware. It is designed with room for a coilover, bypass, CV axle and hydraulic bump stop.

AIRAID COLD AIR DAM SYSTEM AIRAID’s new performance air intake system for 2010-’13 6.2L Ford Raptors features AIRAID’s Cold Air Dam panels that replace the upper portion of the intake box along with a modular intake tube that is designed to provide unrestricted airflow to the engine. Breathing is done through a massive 1,600 CFM washable and reusable premium air filter available with SynthaFlow oiled composite or SynthaMax non-oiled filtration technology. The AIRAID Cold Air Dam system delivers cool, clean air that helps produce an additional 12 hp and 14 lb-ft of torque. AEM COLD AIR INTAKE SYSTEM FORD F-150 RAPTOR 5.4L AEM’s Cold Air Intake System for the Ford F-150 Raptor with the 5.4L V8 engine features a 4-inch mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube, a high performance Dryflow synthetic air filter, a custom heat shield, a replacement radiator overflow tank and an AEM proprietary ETI (electronic tuned intake) module. The custom-designed heat shield keeps engine bay heat away from the air filter while the ETI module eliminates the need to de-tune the air intake tube at the MAF sensor housing for the highest, most consistent power gains. Since the radiator overflow tank is part of the factory air box and is removed along with air box, AEM supplies a replacement tank that bolts to the side of the heat shield. The Dryflow air filter is washable and reusable.

ICON FORD RAPTOR 3.0 PERFORMANCE SUSPENSION SYSTEM The ICON Stage 2 System for the Ford Raptor combines the ICON 3.0 Raptor Performance Shock System with their fully adjustable ICON billet uniball upper control arms. The arms use 1-inch Teflon-lined all-stainless uniballs combined with 17-4 stainless taper pin adapters to increase the upper arm’s misalignment, allowing for smooth and clean wheel travel without worrying about factory ball joint bind or breakage. ICON also uses true 3-inch main pistons that have robust features such as digressive rebound and flutter stack compression for outstanding control, great response and unparalleled ride performance. To achieve even more control for extreme off-road use, ICON added an additional internal hydraulic system in the front shocks that produces the extreme forces required during the last 40 percent of travel to achieve maximum bottom-out control. In the rear, the 3.0 ICON ZETA shocks feature three external bypass tubes with easy to adjust clicker knobs.

BRENTHEL INDUSTRIES FORD RAPTOR LONG-TRAVEL SYSTEM Delivering 16 inches of travel, 2 more inches of track width per side and enough lift to fit 37-inch tires makes for an even better Raptor. Brenthel uses CAD-designed boxed upper control arms and heavy-duty boxed lower control arms with Trophy-Truck grade hardware including 1-inch uniballs at the inner pivots and massive 1.5-inch uniballs on the outers. SDHQ OFFROAD FORD RAPTOR LONG-TRAVEL SYSTEM SDHQ Offroad gives the Ford SVT Raptor 16.5 inches of clean suspension travel with its long-travel system. CAD-engineered and tested, the SDHQ Ford Raptor suspension increases the track width by two inches per side for added stability. More than 85 feet of TIG welding goes into the construction of SDHQ’s 4130 chromoly boxed and internally gusseted arms and race spindles. For added strength and durability, Delrin lower pivots, 1-inch upper uniballs and 1.5-inch lower uniballs are used. RPG FORD F-150 RAPTOR SYSTEM The Raptor Performance Group Stage 4+ kit was designed from the ground up to work as a single unit. The bolt-on system optimizes the factory SVT suspension with larger RPG-tuned Fox Racing Shox 3.0 internal bypass front coilovers, 3.0 external bypass rear shocks and 2.5 air bumps. It also includes a rear frame support and gusset kit to strengthen a known F-150 Raptor rear frame weakness. Completing the system is a set of rear progressive-rate National Springs. Optional RPG steering tie rods are available to enhance the strength further.

BREMBO RAPTOR BRAKE KIT As your wheel and tire size increases, so should your braking power, and to accomplish this Brembo introduces their six-piston Big Brake System for the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. It uses 380x34mm two-piece floating disc assemblies available in cross drilled or slotted for added bite and stopping performance.
