The factory struts simply unbolt from the vehicle and the new strut spacers are fitted over the factory strut bolts and affixed with the factory nuts. There’s no strut disassembly or strut compressor required. Self-clinching 3⁄8-inch studs create the new upper mounting points for the struts. Tip: Use a torque wrench to install the studs to ensure that they’re not overtightened. The studs should clinch with about 35 to 45 lb-ft of torque.
