For lightweight vehicles with stock power levels, small-diameter tires with semi-aggressive patterns work best in the mud. The best way to achieve traction in the mud with these vehicle setups is to keep the tires spinning and the vehicle moving steadily. When approaching a mud obstacle, pick your line before entering, and stick to your plan. Try to keep the rpm up, and maintain wheelspeed until you reach hard ground.
