The heart of the welder is the high-output alternator. For our application the unit was a direct replacement of the stock unit. The stock charge wire must be taped off and the old exciter wire is attached to the new control-box harness. You then make one power and one ground connection to the control-box harness and plug in the alternator wires. View Related Article
