David Adams is a Moab local, so he had no problem letting his friend Jeremy Pool steer his ’84 Jeep CJ-7 up Escalator. David is disabled, so his Jeep became his legs and lets him explore the Moab area more freely. David is extremely active in the Moab 4x4 community, and you can follow his antics at moabdave.com. The CJ’s mods include 41.5-inch Pit Bull Rocker radial tires on 16.5-inch Hummer double-beadlocks, 1-ton axles, and four-link suspensions front and rear supported with Fox air shocks. The whole shebang is motivated by a Vortec 350 V-8, a 700-R4 transmission with a reverse full-manual valvebody, and a Dana 300 transfer case beefed with 4:1 gears, a heavy-duty output shaft, and a Black Box doubler.
