Easter Jeep Safari 2015: Skyjacker Trail Ride
Posted in Moab Experience: 2015 on March 30, 2015When Skyjacker Suspensions said they were having a trail ride at the 2015 Easter Jeep Safari, we were all over it. Well, today, the third day of EJS 2015, was the day, and we met 14 other 4x4s on a beautiful March morning for a few hours of exploring the backcountry around Moab, Utah.
As you probably know, Skyjacker has been in business since the early ‘70s and lift kits and systems, along with all the necessary components and accessories, are the company’s specialty. Is it unusual that Skyjacker put together a trail ride? Nope. Skyjacker routinely hosts, sponsors, supports and participates in a wide array of outdoor events.
Today’s trail ride drew a cool variety of vehicles (including a very large six-door surprise) that included brands such as Jeep, Land Rover, Ram, and Chevy. As a bonus, the collection of rigs included a few of the Skyjacker-owned vehicles. There were also a number of Skyjacker folks on hand to mingle with including Lonnie McCurry Jr., the chief operations officer. The trail ride covered some ground, offered up some fun challenge, and lots of staggeringly beautiful scenery. It utilized parts of a variety of trails in the Moab area including Metal Masher, 3-D, Seven Mile Rim, and Wipe-out Hill.
