Truck-Lite & EVO MFG Kane Creek Trail Ride

Hopefully, you’ve been following our continuous coverage of the 2015 Easter Jeep Safari. Over the course of the week, I was fortunate to have my friend Randy Crews ride along and take video. He shot some great footage and is still going through it all. This is another clip from the Truck-Lite run on which we wheeled the Kane Creek Trail.

EVO Manufacturing owner Mel Wade was leading the ride and did a great job spotting everyone through the obstacles. Behind the scenes, my ’07 JK’s 3.8L engine was slowly going south. We managed to finish the trail, but were down to four cylinders once we got back on the highway. Sadly, this would be my last trail ride of the week. The new long-block should be in today, just in time for me to get the Jeep ready for Jeep Beach.

Hey, if I can get 100,000 miles out of the replacement long block, I will be a happy camper! Just two days out, I am already missing Moab, but that’s just how it goes.
