Riding With EVO, Suspension Tuning & Cruising Seven Mile Rim

Moab is in full swing and companies from across the globe are here testing equipment and showing off the latest parts. I’ll be hitting the vendor show later this week, but for now, it’s all about the trail. I recently installed one of EVO Mfg.’s Double D long arm suspension kits on my ’07 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. After a few days of wheeling, I have been especially pleased with how well the kit is working.

Opting for the bolt-on coilover option has opened up even more tuning advantages. To get the kit adjusted even better, I contacted Mel Wade, owner of EVO Mfg., and asked if he wanted to hit the trails for a bit of wheeling. Both of us had heard that Tread Lightly and Discount Tire had teamed up to fence off an area around Wipe Out Heal, so we hit Seven Mile Rim to go check out the progress.

Aside from my Jeep eating oil and now munching through yet another spark plug, the day went great. Be sure to check back for more wheeling footage tomorrow as the Moab Experience coverage will continue to roll in!
