While walking around the starting lineup of the unofficial flat fender run, examining all the different ways that these little 70some year old Jeeps were being built we decided to dissect just one part of the builds, rocker protection. Flat Fenders have a funky little step at the front corner of the tub just behind the front fenders and it needs protection when you take these little jeeps rock crawling. But because these are not brand new Jeep Wranglers hardly anyone offers new body armor for them, so owners usually build their own. We rounded up a photo of almost every style of rocker protection in the group so feel free to copy whichever version works and looks best for your flatty build. You are building a flatfender aren’t you?? Because we’d like to see you at next year’s unofficial Flat Fender run.
