Things We Saw At The 50th Easter Jeep Safari #EJS2016

If you were not at the 50th Easter Jeep Safari, held March 21-26, 2016, well … I hate to be blunt, but you blew it. It was the biggest 4x4 and Jeep event of the year, and possibly the decade. There will not another like it for a long, long time. However, all is not lost. Through the Four Wheeler Network’s 2016 Moab Experience, you can see it all from vehicle reports on the Jeep Concept Vehicles to the trail rides to the parties and some of the sites and sounds of town.

We spent almost the entire week there, and ran trails such as the Behind The Rocks and Moab Rim, two of my favorites. We cruised the town looking for cool rigs: wild, mild, and weird. We saw some carnage, a rollover or two, and even saw some weird and wild (like the woman who dyed the word “Jeep” into here buzzed hair on one side of her head) people. And we went to parties, most notable were the Daystar/Four Wheeler Network get together at the Sunset Grille high above Moab, and the shindig at Grandpa’s Garage during which Jeep heavy hitters like Mark Allen (Head of Jeep Design) showed up to add yet another engine hood from one of the Jeep concepts to Danny Grimes’ (proprietor of Grandpa’s Garage) collection (see video). Everyone present had the chance to autograph the hood, and become part of a legendary establishment.

However, the real highlights of the 50th Easter Jeep Safari were the people we met, old friends from afar we reconnected with, and the trails which were both challenging and scenic. Check out the Gallery of photos from our own personal Moab Experience here, and then check out for more of the incredible rigs and action that was the 2016 Moab Experience.
