13-14 California - 3rd annual Superstition Mountain, sponsored by the San Diego 4WD Club at the Superstition Mountain Off-Road Vehicle Area near El Centro. There will be a variety of runs and a drawing. Also, there will be SUV runs available. 20 California - 6th annual Truckhaven Hills Poker Run, hosted by the California Off Road Vehicle Association (CORVA) west of the Salton Sea. The main course will be suitable for all skill levels with optional bypasses for those wanting to push it to the limit. This event is open to all types of OHVs (except three-wheelers, due to insurance). After the Poker Run there will be a BBQ dinner and a drawing for various off-road prizes. All proceeds will go to the CORVA Land Use Fund. Come have a great time 'wheeling through the dry mud hills of Truckhaven and help to keep our OHV areas open. 20-21 Arizona - 10th annual Papago Rally in Phoenix, hosted by the Arizona Military Museum and the Military Vehicle Collectors Club. 16-18 California - 30th anniversary of the OVH Program in California. The California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc. presents its annual Convention and the Off Road and Outdoor Recreation Exposition at the Yolo County Fairgrounds. To be held under the big tent in Woodland, near Sacramento. Friday night: hospitality rooms. Saturday: Vehicle show, manufacturers' displays, seminars, annual meeting, and a Saturday night banquet. 15-17 California - Annual convention of the California Off Road Vehicle Association (CORVA) in Santee. March 15 is a family fun day. The Board of Directors meeting is at 4 p.m. The annual meeting will be on March 17. 13-21 Utah - Mitsubishi 4x4 Club's 4th annual Rally and Business Meeting. Trails easy to hard. You'll make the long, spectacular journey through the remote Maze District. Then make a stop in the San Rafael Swell on the way to Moab. They will run the usual club trails in Moab and one or two new ones. Included on the rest day (by popular demand) will be a land use class, an off-road class, as well as the business meeting. For information, contact: Lloyd, (505) 246-9430.

22 California - The Early Bronco Registry invites all '66-'77 early Bronco owners to exhibit their vehicles at Fabulous Fords Forever at Knott's Berry Farm in Anaheim. Ford has selected the Early Bronco as the featured vehicle in 2001, and they are now the second largest model group at the show, second only to the Mustang. 25-29 California - 35th Anniversary celebration of the Ford Early Bronco in Apple Valley. This special event is hosted once every five years by the Early Bronco Registry. It is open to all '66-'77 early Broncos, and each event has set a new World Record for participation. There will be desert and mountain runs, raffles, a BBQ, vendors, and much more. 1-7 California - Mitsubishi 4x4 Club High Sierra Trail rides. Trails mostly Hard. They will be riding the famous Rubicon and Dusy-Ershim trails, along with Fordyce Creek and other possible area trails. For more information, contact: Lloyd, (505) 246-9430.

7-8 New Mexico <\m> United 4Wheel Drive Associations annual convention and 25th anniversary celebration to be held at Farmington. Hosted by the Southwest Four Wheel Drive Association. Thursday, Sept. 6 will be the Board of Directors meeting and Delegates and Guests Hospitality hour with SWFWDA membership. Friday 7 will be the United Delegates caucus in the morning, followed by lunch. The convention kicks off at 1p.m. On Saturday 8, the United convention AM session, lunch, and PM session. Saturday evening is the big banquet and anniversary celebration. You should plan to come a few days early to enjoy the trail rides or stay a few days after the Convention for more trail rides.
