Greaves Takes Potawatomi Chairman's Cup
In an impressive weekend sweep at Crandon International Off-Road Speedway in Wisconsin, Potawatomi/Toyota-backed Johnny Greaves won Rounds 3 and 4 of the CORR-series Pro 4 class and then went on to secure the Potawatomi Chairman's Cup Challenge. The Chairman's Cup is an annual race with the Pro 4, Sportsman 2, and Pro 2 classes pitted against each other in one race for a run at a $25,000 payday and a silver cup. With Pro 4 trucks starting in back of the line, Greaves had to pass the entire field in his BFGoodrich-shod Toyota Tundra to capture the victory. This is the second time Greaves has won the Potawatomi Chairman's Cup. For more information, check out

'07 Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD
Yet another engine option is available for new Jeep Grand Cherokee buyers. You can now choose from a flex-fuel-capable 4.7L SOHC V-8 engine that will burn E85 or gasoline, and there is a diesel engine to choose from as well. The '07 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be equipped with a 3.0L common-rail turbodiesel (CRD) engine built by Mercedes-Benz. The engine produces 215 hp at 3,800 rpm and 376 lb-ft torque at 1,600-2,800 rpm, with an estimated fuel economy of 19 mpg city and 23 mpg on the highway. The vehicle will also offer a towing capacity of 7,400 pounds and a driving range of approximately 425 miles. The new engine will be available on Laredo, Limited, and Overland models. The Grand Cherokee CRD will be manufactured at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit, and the 3.0L CRD engine will be built at the Mercedes-Benz Berlin Marienfelde Plant in Berlin, Germany.

Goodyear's Spirit of Innovation
Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. christened its newest blimp at its Wingfoot Lake Airship Base in Akron, Ohio, last June, in front of a crowd of more than 6,000. The new blimp was named Spirit of Innovation, the result of the company's "Name the Blimp" contest that took place last spring. Matthew Harrelson of Uniontown, Ohio, entered the winning name, which was selected from more than 21,000 submissions. This was the first time in Goodyear's 81-year world-famous airship program history that a public forum was polled to name a blimp. A grand prize of use of the blimp for a day was awarded to Harrelson for his winning submission. Goodyear's blimp program began in 1925 when the company built its first helium-filled public relations airship, the Pilgrim. Many of the blimps are named after winners of the America's Cup yacht race, including Stars & Stripes, Enterprise, Reliance, Defender, Volunteer, and America, to name a few. The Compass is available in front- or four-wheel drive, and the tires will be original equipment for both wheel configurations.

Diesel VW Touareg Conquers Pikes Peak
Three Touareg V-10 TDIs were the first vehicles to use ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The Touareg V-10 TDI is a high-performance diesel version of VW's luxury SUV. It uses a clean diesel fuel that reduces emissions of sulfur compounds and allows for the use of advanced emission control systems. The engine also uses a particulate filter that further reduces emissions while still producing 310 hp at 3,750 rpm and 553 lb-ft torque at 2,000 rpm. The vehicles were driven by noted racers Mark Miller, Ryan Arciero, and Danny Sullivan. Miller finished the race in 14 minutes, 8 seconds, with the others also under the 14-minute mark. All of the Touaregs were basically stock, except for the addition of safety items, including a rollcage, a fire extinguisher, a competition driver seat, and five-point racing seatbelts. A set of Nitto Terra Grappler tires was also installed on each vehicle.
