Greaves Rides On Maxxis
Off-road racing legend Johnny Greaves will be racing on Maxxis tires for the 2011 and 2012 TORC and LOORS series. This new sponsorship teams him up with Monster Toyota teammates Marty Hard and Greaves’ son C.J. Both Greaves and Hart will be racing on the new Maxxis Razr SCR off-road tire. “We have tested with the SCR tire and have been really impressed by it,” Greaves said. Greaves, who racked up numerous titles in the now-defunct CORR series, joins Maxxis on the heels of his latest championship, the 2010 TORC Pro 4x4 title. Fellow legend Hart also won a series title last season in LOORRS’ Pro Lite Unlimited class. C.J., who took the TORC Super Buggy championship last season, will be competing in the series again this year. For more information about the team and Maxxis tires, visit www.maxxis.com..

Mickey Thompson Teams With LOORS
Mickey Thompson is looking forward to putting its off-road tire products to the test this season, teaming up with Pro-Lite Unlimited and Pro-Buggy Unlimited drivers. “This is a fantastic venue for us to be involved in,” said Ken Warmer, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Lucas Oil puts on an amazing series of races and we are thrilled to be a part of it.” It is looking to recapture the passion from way back when Mickey Thompson himself was promoting his Stadium Series and pour it into working with LOORS.
