Ram Expands Power Wagon Model Range
The Ram Power Wagon will now be available in two additional models—ST and Laramie. The ST package will appeal to fire and emergency services, mining companies, oil exploration, and forestry services for daily off-road duty. It features single-tone paint, a black grille, black front/rear bumpers, black fender flares and black mirrors with optional clearance lamps.
The Laramie broadens Ram’s hardcore off-road lineup, adding comfort and convenience features such as leather seats, premium audio, dual-zone A/C and wood grain dash and door panels. The Power Wagon package also includes a floor-mounted, manual transfer case shifter. New for 2012, the Power Wagon is now available with a new RamBox storage system for trucks with short beds and a new heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission. Ram Power Wagon continues to offer class-exclusive electric-locking front and rear differentials, class-exclusive electronic disconnecting sway bar, the legendary 383-horsepower 5.7L Hemi V-8 engine, 33-inch off-road tires, a Warn 12,000-pound winch, Bilstein shocks, underbody skidplate protection, and a 4.56 axle ratio. Additionally, the Power Wagon is rated to tow up to 10,250 pounds with a class 4 trailer hitch.
No. 28 Finishes in Top 3 at Blue Water Desert Challenge
Steve Olliges and co-driver Jason Bateman were 13th off the line on Saturday in the No. 28 BFGoodrich /MasterCraft Safety Trick Truck at the BITD Blue Water Desert Challenge. Despite heavy dust resulting from triple-digit temperatures and no wind, Olliges was able to pass enough competitors to move up to fourth place on in Saturday’s standings.
Sunday, John Swift and Daniel Llewelyn strapped into the No. 28’s MasterCraft 3G seats for the final day of racing. John was not only able to maintain Steve’s strong position, but move the BFGoodrich /MasterCraft Safety truck up to third place in Class 1400 and third place overall.
