The great American off-road race brought out some of the coolest off-road race vehicles in the country to the Nevada desert just outside of Las Vegas. The Mint 400, which was first run in 1967, was created to generate public interest in the Mint Hotel but it quickly turned into a full-fledged off-road racing event that has grown into one of the toughest races in the country.
The 2013 General Tire Mint 400 was filled with four days of high octane off-road excitement! The weekend of desert racing started out right on Freemont Street with the 4-Wheel Parts Mint 400 Off-Road Vehicle Parade that rumbled through Las Vegas Blvd. with 50 off-road vehicles led by Mint 400 founders Mel Larson, Norm Johnson and the 2013 Mint 400 Grand Marshall, KJ Howe.
Since pictures are worth more than words alone, we have compiled some awesome shots of some of the cool action that took place out at the 2013 General Tire Mint 400. Look for further coverage in the September 2013 issue of OFF-ROAD Magazine!
