Holiday Off-Road Show To Benefit Local CharitiesPosted in News on August 6, 2013 Comment (0)
For the third year in a row, OMC Offroad is hosting a Holiday Off-Road Show/Food and Toy Drive in Banning, California. This year’s event will kick off on October 26 at Paddy Orielly's Bar & Grill located at 41 W. Ramsey street in Banning, California.
Aaron and Tracy Eaton created the Holliday Off-Road Show/Food and Toy Drive to give back to those who were less fortunate in their community. After the economy took a hit, the Eaton’s fell on hard times and turned to their local parish for support. It was then that they soon realized that there were many other struggling families in the same situation as them. After reading their Parish’s weekly newsletter, they learned that the parish’s pantry was unable to feed as many families within the community as they needed to because of a lack of funds. The Parish was forced to turn away 379 plus people a week as a result. The unfortunate circumstances really hit home with Aaron and Tracy and were not lost on them. As such, they took it as their duty to lend a hand to the families who were going to bed hungry.
They decided to put together a food & toy drive to help out families in need between the holidays and their efforts have been a huge success over the last two years.
All proceeds from vendor space fees, raffle proceeds, sponsorship income and tax-deductible donations are split among three established local charities. The 2012 Off-Road Show/Food & Toy Drive fed and provided holidays gifts for more than 200 families and this year, OMC Offroad owners Aaron and Tracy Eaton are hoping to top it.
