Ripping Through The Mud
Okay, we know you’ve got a fever and the only prescription is more Alabama Army Truck so this time, we’re feeding the monster and giving you more of what you want. Las time on Dirt Every Day, Petersen’s 4-Wheel & Off-Road Technical Editor, Fred Williams and the crew at The Offroad Connection swapped in an all new Chevy Performance ERod LSA 6.2-liter supercharged engine out of the Cadillac CTS-V. The 556 Horsepower V8 gave the old military rig much more authority both on and off the road.
When we left off last time, Fred had a huge duct hose routed into the cab from the fender. Common sense would tell us that there is a lot more clean air to be had in the cab of the truck as opposed to under the hood. As it turns out, the Alabama Army Truck was in store for some serious water fording and mud-slinging action.
On this episode of Dirt Every Day, The Alabama Army Truck hits the slush box at the Talladega Off-Road Mud Track to see how it fares in the pit compared to a 1000 Horsepower purpose built Mud Race monster.
