eBay and West Coast Customs Honor Veterans Through “The Road Home” ProgramPosted in News on November 1, 2013
eBay Motors, in collaboration with West Coast Customs, has announced a really neat program honoring United States veterans called “The Road Home,” in which four veterans will be surprised with custom vehicles in conjunction with fundraising for the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. The vehicles, including a Task Force Transport military-inspired Ford E-250 4X4 van, a hot rod-inspired 1960s Chevy Suburban, a 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible, and a 1968 Chevy Camaro, will reflect the personalities of their deserving recipients. A majority of the parts for the custom builds, along with the vehicles, were sourced entirely from eBay and the eBay Motors mobile app. Each week, more than 13,000 vehicles and 831,000 parts and accessories are sold via the app, making it a dangerously awesome tool for vehicle purchasing and customization.
An episode of Inside West Coast Customs, to be aired on November 10 at 5PM, will be dedicated to The Road Home. After that, additional weekly web episodes will highlight the veterans and their cars. These episodes will be shown on November 10, 17, and 24.
In addition to building these great custom rides for veterans who certainly deserve nothing but the best, West Coast Customs is creating a custom 2012 Chrysler 300S for one lucky grand prize winner. Entry promo codes are located at the end of several Road Home build videos, found at www.ebaytheroadhome.com. Also enter through creating or updating your eBay Garage profile or by making a donation to IAVA.
Thank you very much to all of our hard-working, selfless veterans and their families who sacrifice so much.
