Mopar has partnered with the Ram Truck brand-sponsored Hall Brothers Racing team to introduce the first new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) monster truck into the Monster Jam series in more than a decade. The truck, loosely resembling a 2014 Ram Heavy Duty, is named “Mopar Muscle” and simply put, this 2000-horsepower, 10,300-pound, 10-foot tall behemoth is badass. The monstrous machine receives its roar from a 565 cubic inch supercharged version of the Gen II 426 HEMI engine. Since 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of this engine, Mopar Muscle will proudly display a 50th anniversary HEMI logo to pay tribute to the iconic engine. The timing couldn’t be better!
Mopar Muscle is positioned for success with the Champaign, Illinois-based Hall Brothers Racing team. Mark Hall, who pilots “Raminator,” has gathered eight “Driver of the Year” awards. Raminator was also the 2013 “Truck of the Year.” Mat Dishman drives another truck on the team, cleverly named “Rammunition.” Ram has sponsored this team since 2002. Mike Miller, who has a son named Hemi, will be the lucky pilot of Mopar Muscle.
Comments Hall Brothers Racing owner and crew chief Tim Hall: "We are very proud of our new Mopar Muscle Ram monster truck. It looks really fantastic, and I can't wait to see it run. Mopar has a long and storied history of winning across many forms of racing, so we intend on helping to make their entry into monster truck racing just as successful."
Mopar Muscle will compete in six Monster truck events, the first of which is this Saturday! These events include: Monster Jam in Detroit, Michigan (January 11); Monster Jam in Arlington, Texas (February 22); 4 Wheel Jamboree in Lima, Ohio (May 16-18); 4 Wheel Jamboree in Springfield, Missouri (June 21-22); 4 Wheel Jamboree in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania (July 11-13); and 4 Wheel Jamboree in Indianapolis, Indiana (September 19-21). Bring the family and kids out to Monster Jam or 4 Wheel Jamboree to see Mopar Muscle and Mike Miller up close and personal, starting this weekend! But leave your conversations at home – all you’ll be able to hear is a stadium full of horsepower.
