Ram has expanded the light duty 2013 Ram 1500 pickup’s available Black Express package to the 2014 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty models. The Black Express package gives the Ram Heavy Duty the same blacked out or “murdered out” look as the Ram 1500 model.
Like its name implies, the Black Express is finished in all black including the body panels, 20-inch alloy wheels, grille surround and horizontal bars, front and rear bumpers, and Ram grille and tailgate badges. All body-side badging has been deleted with the exception with the Cummins logo when equipped with the 6.7-liter turbodiesel I-6 engine.
Other Ram Heavy Duty Black Express features include projector headlights with black bezels and LED park/turn/position lights and side marker lights, LED taillights with black finish, and Parkview and Parksense. The Black Express package is also equipped with the Ram Express model’s standard features including Cargo-view Camera, RamBox, and available manual with turbodiesel.
The Black Express package is available on Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty models with single rear wheels in Crew Cab and Mega Cab, Big Horn, Lone Star and Laramie trims, and in two- or four-wheel-drive. The 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 is standard, while the 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel I-6 is available.
The Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Black Express starts at $43,335 (including $1195 destination), and is available for order now.
