Dirt Every Day Episode 28 Building a Giant Go-Kart Part 2Posted in News on April 10, 2014
Last time on Dirt Every Day, Fred and the Poly Goats Off-Road Club tore down an old dilapidated Pace Arrow Motorhome to build the gnarliest giant go-kart in the world - with a big block 454ci Chevy V-8 no less! Sure it was looking like an uphill battle hacking away at the old 1986 Pace Arrow Motorhome but once the SawzAll’s and sledge hammers came out, the big behemoth crumbled like a house of cards. Of course the rain didn’t seem to help speed things up either but somehow nobody slipped off the roof or ended up with any splinters during the teardown.
With only a frame and running drivetrain left, the crew was one step closer to fulfilling what is likely one of Fred’s life long dreams of tearing down the street in a giant big block powered go-kart.
On this episode of Dirt Every Day, we’ll see how well Fred and the Poly Goats Off-Road Club’s fabrication and design skills work when they set out to build their giant big block powered go-kart. Think it will stack up well when put to the test against a real kid sized go-kart in the ultimate go-kart shootout?
One thing’s for sure, chaos will ensue when they smash and bash their giant machine in rigorous and slightly hilarious competitions to see if bigger truly is better, when it comes to go-karts.
