Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 Gets Over 800 HP

Last year we brought you what can only be referred to as the gnarliest 6X6 to ever roll out of Europe. The Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 made its presence known throughout the off-road world after a video of it blasting over massive sand dunes surfaced and went viral (More on that Here). Although the price tag was just about as shocking as its off-road prowess, tuners have come out of the woodwork with hopped-up versions of this triple-axle beast. First, Brabus came out with a mean and sleek version of the 6x6 that put out 700 horsepower (More on that Here) to get the heavy Merc’ moving in a hurry but it would seem that Mansory doesn’t think that’s enough.

Well, maybe just not enough power for the trust-funders, oil barons and Sheiks alike with a desire to have the absolute baddest luxury off-road beast money can buy. Mansory out of Bavaria, Germany, has come out with its own hopped-up version of the AMG 6x6 that is sure to get your testosterone in a frenzy. Mansory decided that stock just wasn’t enough to properly roost through the dirt with its set of 37-inch Pro Comp Xtreme Mud Terrain tires, so they squeeze out 828 horsepower out of the AMG V-8 engine for proper measure.

Mansory completely reworked the 6.6-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine and stuffed it full of race-spec pistons, connecting rods, bearings, crankshaft and cylinder heads. They also designed a new exhaust system, from the manifold to the stainless steel dual exhaust tips to give it a meaner grumble before unleashing all hell on both tarmac and dirt. All this allowed them to bump the power from 536hp up to 828hp while peak torque has been bumped up to an electronically limited 737 lb-ft of torque.

The price tag of a finely modified luxury off-road beast such as this isn’t something that has been publicized as of yet but with a Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 version going for more than a half million dollars, it’s pretty safe to assume the Mansory G63 AMG 6x6 will cost you more than a few stuffed ceramic piggy banks.
