Ram Truck Launches Just the Facts Campaign

If you’ve been in the market for a pickup truck, you know that the arguments on who makes the best truck is a subject that gets pretty heated amongst enthusiasts, brand loyalists and now even the manufacturers themselves. If you want accurate comparisons between different makes of trucks with regards to maximum payload, maximum towing capacity, power or even fuel economy, there’s a lot of information out there that you have to sift through quite a bit of misinformation to make a fair comparison. While it might seem like it’s a one upping contest, it’s really just a never ending competition to sell the best truck for the job at hand which ultimately is a battle that the truck buyers end up winning.

To make matters even more interesting, Ram Truck has just launched their latest campaign which is called, “Just the Facts.” As the name suggests, it’s a simple, fact-based, no-nonsense approach to finding the Ram truck right for the job at hand. Kicking off the campaign, the first two of four thirty-second ads debuted during the NCAA/NFL network football games this past weekend.

Both ads look at real people using their Ram truck to do real jobs but leave out all the fluff that is commonly associated with typical truck advertisements. In the first ad, called ‘MPG,’ the facts underscore that, head-to-head with the competition, the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel takes fuel economy to the head of the class. The second ad, ‘Job Site,’ is a no-frills look at best-in-class payload at work in the Ram 3500 Cummins Turbo Diesel.

Ram has also launched what they are calling an honest, to-the-point ‘Just the Facts’ website. Ram says it’s a great tool to help truck buyers cut through the clutter and get to the real truth when shopping for a truck with just the facts on best-in-class payload, towing and fuel economy.

“Since its launch as a stand-alone division of Chrysler Group LLC in 2009, the Ram Truck brand has steadily emerged as an industry leader with one goal; to build the best pickup trucks and commercial vehicles in the industry,” said Bob Hegbloom, Ram Brand President and CEO.

While many head to head truck comparisons online are filled with biased opinions or unfair parameters, Ram is sticking to it’s guns and going forth with an honest campaign that holds back all the fluff and comes across as pretty refreshing in this day and age of paid for spokespersons monitoring so called fair comparisons.
