The time has come once again: We’re out of the office this week doing our annual Four Wheeler of the Year testing as well as our highly anticipated Four Wheeler Pickup Truck of the Year testing and so far we’ve managed to get behind the wheel of the newest 4x4 trucks and SUV’s on curvy canyon roads, open highway, SoCal traffic and even some track testing to find out how these vehicles perform at both acceleration, and braking.
This year’s lineup is likely one of our best we’ve had in a while and every single vehicle brings off-road prowess to the table in one way or another. While we can’t give you 60–0 mph braking, 0-60 mph and 1/4-mile acceleration times quite yet, we can honestly tell you that we are pretty impressed at how this year’s vehicles are handling our rigorous testing methods.
Don’t worry, you’ll be able to read all about our testing as well as the results in an upcoming issue of Four Wheeler but for now, we thought we’d leave you with a few snapshots from our first day of testing on Four Wheeler of the Year.
Stay tuned for more as we hit the trails bright and early for Day 2 to see what these off-road vehicles can really do!
