Jeep Renegade Hard Steel Concept Shines at 2015 Geneva Motor ShowPosted in News on March 2, 2015
Last year, the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk took the Geneva International Motor Show by storm and this year, Jeep will be unveiling a new Jeep Renegade Hard Steel concept which blends style, off-road vocation and technology. The Hard Steel concept features a brushed steel livery that resembles the skin of an old B-29 Bomber and is fitted with a set of 16-inch alloy wheels painted black and wrapped in a set of BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires.
A skid plate engraved with “Trailhawk” offers plenty of protection for trail driving duties while a set of hood vents and a Mopar black grille give the Renegade Hard Steel concept a more menacing look.
The biggest difference between this concept and the production model is that the Hard Steel concept features a matching brushed steel finish trailer. The trailer features Mopar specific Wi-Fi internet hotspot as well as a touch screen display that shows all the features of the new Uconnect LIVE system, a Deezer audio streaming, TuneIn Internet Radio, Reuters News, Tom Tom Live real-time traffic as well as social media apps.
Okay, so maybe it’s not an off-road trailer like we would have hoped for but it’s definitely an interesting concept and any trailer with a set of aggressive all-terrain tires is just too cool to ignore. While Jeep has not yet said they will be offering a Renegade with a matching trailer option just yet, we can only hope it becomes a reality.
