It has been a long, snowy winter for many of us here in the continental U.S. Are you tired of paying someone to plow snow? Wish you could do it yourself? Well, Fisher Engineering can help you turn your 4x4 into a plow-crazy machine. The company has unveiled the new stainless steel HDX snowplow and its loaded with features. Among other things, the HDX has an adjustable attack angle of 55, 65, or 75 degrees and an articulating frame with integrated leaf spring that follows the contours of the plowing surface. This means you get a cleaner scrape on even the most uneven surfaces. Fisher says that the leaf spring also makes it easier to line up with the truck during mounting. The company says that the HDX combines the best parts of the HD Series and XBLADE plows, along with revolutionary features. The HDX is available in 8- and 9-foot blade widths, has a stainless steel moldboard, four trip springs, and eight vertical ribs. There are a number of accessories available for the HDX, including a heavy-duty lift ram, rubber or steel deflectors, trip-edge blade wings, and a variety of cutting edges. More info on the HDX will be available at www.fisherplows.com in April 2015.
