The first ever Diver Enough Challenge held at the Willow Springs International Raceway in California featured 56 amateur drivers from across the nation that tested their driving skill with on- and off-road challenges.

Over 2 days of competition drivers we asked to perform on a customized road course with a 2015 Ford Mustang GT featuring BFGoodrich g-Force Com-2 tires as well as an off-road course with a 2014 Ford Raptor with the new BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires. The road course at Willow Springs International Raceway featured fast straights, tight and elevation changes. While the off-road course adjacent to the track was designed to test the driver’s skills behind the Ford Raptor on rocky terrain.

The Driver Enough Challenge champion was determined by the fastest combined lap times from both on- and off-road courses. Celebrity BFGoodrich performance pro driver Andrew Comrie-Picard and off-road pro driver Brad Lovell participated as expert instructors to set baseline lap times on their respective courses for the challengers to beat. Once the dust settled and the on- and off-road runs from all the challengers were calculated, Wade Koehl from Cypress, Texas, came in third, Gardner Nichols from Boulder, Colo., took second, and Mike ller took home first place with the grand prize of a new set of BFGoodrich Tires.

BFGoodrich and TEN: The Enthusiast Network’s Motor Trend and Fourwheeler were pleased to present the award to Mike IIer after he put on an awesome show. With IIer winning the Driver Enough Challenge he now gets a chance to compete in a professionally sanctioned race series but not before he gets a chance to fine tune his driving skills with the team at the Skip Barber Driving School with BFGoodrich Performance driver and instructor Terry Earwood.
