The rumors have been swirling about a Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat since Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) released the Current Hellcat line-up available in the Dodge Charger and Challenger. Current info is that this rare Jeep will be on sale in 2018 with an MSRP of $79,999 leaving some diehard SRT Jeep fans paying well over sticker.

Specs on the Trackhawk, also known as Project K, haven’t officially been released but performance figure rumors are unreal. A supercharged 6.2L Hemi will crank out 700 hp, and all-wheel drive give this SUV the grunt it needs to allegedly do 0-60 in just 2.7 seconds. To help the big bad Hemi the Trackhawk will see weight reduction in the several hundred pound region thanks to upgrades like light-weight aluminum suspension and two-piece brake rotors.

No official word from FCA has been handed down, but this rocket ship sure does sound badass. As soon as we know more you’ll know more, but until then enjoy the last generation SRT-8 Grand Cherokee that went through plenty of tires.
