2016 Four Wheeler Of The Year –Winner Announced December 23Posted in News on December 22, 2015
We are almost done adding up the scores for the 2016 Four Wheeler of the Year, and we’re going to let you know who won shortly.
With three vehicles from two different manufacturers competing for this year’s coveted award, we loaded up a Range Rover Sport Td6, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Range Rover Sport SVR and hit the road for a week of testing. We put each SUV through a slew of rigorous testing, including track testing, highway driving, twisty mountain roads, plenty of narrow trails, snowy mountain road conditions, and fun in the sand dunes. After each judge had enough seat time in each rig, the scoring began.
Thanks to plenty of cool technology to improve off-road performance, including rear lockers, adjustable air suspension, and selectable terrain options, all three of these SUVs were made to get off the pavement. The unbelievable power of the 2016 Range Rover Sport SVR left us with our jaws dropped, the grace and performance of the 2016 Range Rover Td6 was a crowd-pleaser, and the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee felt right at home off-road with every judge.
