Last week, we finally received official confirmation about the Nissan Titan XD’s base gas engine, a 390hp, 401–lb-ft 5.6L DOHC direct-injected V-8 mated to a seven-speed automatic. Now, we have official pricing on the Cummins-powered XD lineup. The XD Crew Cab 4x2 starts at $41,485, including $1,195 destination. Moving up the price ladder, the SV Crew Cab 4x2 goes for $45,255. The lowest-priced 4x4 model, the S Crew Cab 4x4, goes for $44,485. The full-boat 4x4 Platinum Reserve Crew Cab goes for $61,715.
Among the options available are several trim-dependent packages, including the $3,310 Pro-4X Convenience Package, the $2,590 SV Comfort and Convenience Package, and, exclusive to the Platinum Reserve trim, the Rear DVD entertainment package for $2,190. All Titan XD models feature standard remote door locks and power windows, as well as antilock brakes, traction control, and air conditioning. The maximum towing capacity on an S-trim 4x2 is 12,314 pounds.
Prices for the XD model equipped with the 5.6L gas V-8 are expected to be significantly lower than for the Cummins model, by as much as $5,000. The non-XD Titan, which will be offered with V-6 and V-8 engines, is expected to be less than the XD. The 2017 non-XD Titan is expected to be shown later in 2016, possibly at the Chicago Auto Show in February.
