Custom Star Wars Fiat 500s Built To Celebrate The Force AwakensPosted in News on December 17, 2015
With all the hype surrounding the release of the latest Star Wars film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, every one is excited, even Fiat. After showing of the Stromtrooper 500e at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show Fiat has made two more special edition Star Wars 500s, the R2-D2 e and the BB-8. These bespoke compact cars will be making a special appearance in a world preview showing in Switzerland.
The 500e Stormtrooper was designed and built at Lapo Elkann’s creative hub where 12 of these unique vehicles were completed. These cars will “invading” premiers across Germany, Sweden, Denmark, UK and Turkey for fans of Fiat and Star Wars to enjoy.
Garage Italia Customs Style Center designed and created the R2-D2 e and the BB-8 Fiats. The exterior theme was created with a “damage” effect to represent the time each of these would have spent in galactic battle. Garage Italia Customs was able to incorporate this design with excellent results, featuring one-way window film and unique paint job carried throughout the exterior including the wheels on the BB-8.
We know they aren’t 4x4s, but most of us will be seeing the new Star Wars film and appreciate the effort in modifying vehicles to fill a need. Enjoy the one-off-touches that each of these cars has, and realize that they would still be cooler in 4-wheel drive.
